Kona Ice is coming to the library for a fun, treat-filled stop! Families can visit the Kona Ice truck and cool off with a refreshing shaved ice. Pick your favorite flavors and create your own colorful combo. It’s a quick, easy, and kid-friendly add-on to your library visit, and a great way to celebrate the day together.

Learn how scientists preserve the past through fossil casting. In this hands-on activity, you’ll create your own fossil replica by pressing objects into molding material and forming a detailed impression.

Hometown Heroes

Event Info
Join us in this hands-on community event where kids and families can meet local firefighters, police officers, and other first responders. Children get to explore emergency vehicles, climb inside for a closer look, and learn about the tools and equipment they use. Depending on the day’s setup, kids may also get to try a safe, supervised activity like spraying a fire hose. We also serve drinks and popcorn, making it a fun, welcoming way to learn about safety and celebrate the people who help keep our community safe.
